Bampton CE Primary School
- Classroom extension
- Oxfordshire
- Thames Valley
Thames Ceilings created a fabulous new learning space for the pupils of Bampton CE Primary School.
Building the classroom was made possible through fundraising and a contribution from new housing in the village.
Our team worked with architects Jessop and Cook and the Diocese of Oxford on this challenging build which used locally-sourced Cotswold stone, and took place during an extremely wet Spring.
We were able to overcome all Mother Nature threw at us to construct a modern classroom, which provided a warm and well-insulated teaching space and with an external aesthetic in keeping with a Cotswold village school.
All the work took place during term time so excellent communication between the school and everyone involved in the project, was essential. The building was finished on time, and to the delight of staff, pupils and parents. It was a pleasure to be part of creating such a fantastic place for the pupils in Bampton.
